Biodegradable Potting Pots

This line of fully biodegradable potting pots caught our eyes right away when they were shown at various trade shows and wholesale markets. The pots themselves are made from bamboo, one of the earth's most easily renewable resources. Even the coloring agents in these pots are fully biodegradable and non-toxic as they are made from vegetation. Once planted with your favorite herbs, flowers, or veggies,The pots will last for about three years indoors or two outdoors. You can start your hardy plants indoors then plant them, pot and all in your garden. If the potting pots are planted or thrown into a landfill, they will completely degrade within three to six months.

These pots are not hard on the eyes either, as the colors and styles compare favorably with other lines of planting pots which are not at all earth-friendly.

Remember to think "outside the box" or the basket, as it were. Any of these pots could serve as a great container for a gift for someone who likes gardening.


Large Pots

The red biodegradable pot measures 6 1/4 inches tall by 9 1/2 inches across the top (top rim is flared).We are currently stocking it in red. Smaller Pots

At 5 1/4 inches tall by 6 1/2 inches across the top, this pot is suitable for a medium sized house plant. The green color should blend well with any decor which features plants. Of course, it is equally well suited to perennial plants that need a bit of a head start before they are planted in the garden. Isn't is nice to have a planting pot that is pretty enough to display indoors but can be planted in the garden without disturbing the plant's roots?

Here's another smaller pot for you. This one measures 4 1/2 inches high by 5 inches across the rim. It can also be used for smaller houseplants or or as a starter container for seedlings which will later be planted outside. (Needless to say, none of these biodegradable potting pots would be suitable for the "thugs" of the plant world such as oregano or mint if the object of planting them in pots was to contain their tendency to spread in all directions!)
